I think why the school gets pupils to read in the morning is because they want us to calm down so that we can think better during class time especially when it is time for exams. Reading is interesting and i do enjoy it because it makes you thinking and helps you to imagine more. I would say that i would like to read that talks about mystery. Because they make you wonder about the story one book that talk about mystery is Mr midnight. Reading will sure help in your school work because it helps you in spelling words, phrases and grammar. The school can help to encourage pupils to read by taking out the exciting part of a story from a book and ask them to go to the library to find out more about the story. I would recommend Russel lee books like Mr midnight or Singapore true ghost story(if you are not scare of ghost!) because his book has a lot of adventure and mystery in it.
